Maverick friends and families: you are cordially invited to attend Friends & Family Weekend 2025 on October 17th and 18th!  Join us for a weekend filled with family-centered activities during the most vibrant time of year. 

To secure your spot, please complete this registration form. Only one registration form per family is required. The deadline to register for Friends & Family Weekend is on Friday, October 10th, 2025 at 5:00pm.  If you have any questions about the event, please email parents@uta.edu.

About Friends & Family Weekend

• Friends & Family Weekend is open to families of current UTA students and includes a variety of activities for the entire family to enjoy!
• Maverick Parent & Family Association (MPFA) members receive a special gift at check-in and additional perks throughout the weekend. To join the MPFA, click here.
• Every effort will be made to host Friends & Family Weekend rain or shine; however, some activities may be canceled in the event of severe weather.
• UTA does not want financial hardship to prevent families from attending.  If your family needs additional support to join us, please send an email to parents@uta.edu.
• If you’re able, a small gift to the UTA Parent and Family Fund can help other Maverick families join in the fun of Friends & Family Weekend.  Gifts made to UTA are considered tax-deductible.
• The deadline to request a full refund for Friends & Family Weekend is Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 at 5:00pm.  Refunds will not be provided after this date. Please email parents@uta.edu to request your refund.
• Before booking your travel to Arlington, TX, visit the Maverick Discount Program website for information on special offers and discounts.

Friends & Family Weekend Tickets:
Tickets are free for all UTA students and children ages 5 and under.  All attendees, including students and children under 5, must be included on the registration form to secure their access to Friends & Family Weekend activities. Below are the prices for adults (18 and up) and youth (ages 6 to 17).

All-Access Pass | $75 for adults and $30 for youth.  Includes:

• A Friends & Family Weekend event t-shirt
• Access to Friends & Family Weekend activities on Friday, October 17th and Saturday, October 18th 
• Light refreshments on Friday, October 17th
• Breakfast and dinner on Saturday, October 18th 
• A ticket to the UTA Women's Volleyball game vs. Utah Tech on Saturday, October 18th 
• Admission to the UTA Planetarium on Friday, October 17th and Saturday, October 18th 
• Event service administrative fee (e.g., facility maintenance, credit card transaction fees)

Saturday-Only Pass | $55 for adults and $30 for youth. Includes:

• A Friends & Family Weekend event t-shirt
• Access to Friends & Family Weekend activities on Saturday, October 18th
• Breakfast and dinner on Saturday, October 18th 
• A ticket to the UTA Women's Volleyball game vs. Utah Tech on Saturday, October 18th 
• Admission to the UTA Planetarium on Saturday, October 18th 
• Event service administrative fee (e.g., facility maintenance, credit card transaction fees)

A La Carte Add-Ons:
A la carte add-ons are available to all attendees for an additional fee and are not included in the Friends & Weekend standard ticket price.  More add-ons coming soon!

• VIP Tour of AT&T Stadium on Friday October 17th
  
  • AT&T Stadium is more than just the home of the Dallas Cowboys. AT&T Stadium is an engineering marvel, an art museum, and a venue that hosts a variety of events throughout the year. This guided tour offers something for everyone and ensures you leave with a wealth of facts and appreciation for one of DFW's largest attractions. Tickets are $30 per person and will be available for purchase soon!

All families must complete check-in to receive their event pass, which is required for entry to Friends & Family Weekend activities. We encourage you to arrive early at check in to avoid lines and make the most of your weekend!

Friday, October 17th 

• 5:00pm - 7:00pm: Talent Show in the Rosebud Theater
• 7:00pm - 9:00pm: Casino on Campus in the Bluebonnet Ballroom
• Maverick Parent & Family Association (MPFA) Reception | Location and time TBA

• UTA Planetarium Show | Title and show time TBA

Saturday, October 18th 

• 10:00am – 12:00pm: Welcome Brunch in the Bluebonnet Ballroom
• 12:30pm – 2:30pm: UTA Women's Volleyball game against Utah Tech at the College Park Center
• 2:45pm – 3:45pm: Academic Showcase 
• 3:00pm – 5:00pm: Tour of the Maverick Activities Center and the Maverick Family Games Competition
• 5:30pm – 7:00pm: Dinner and evening entertainment by The Inspiration Band at Brazos Park
• After dinner activities (Create your own experience!)
  • 7:00pm - 11:00pm: Fright Night Haunted House hosted by EXCEL Campus Activities
  • UTA Planetarium Show | Title and show time TBA

Sunday, October 19th
